How Long Does a Bathroom Remodel Take? A Look at Two Recent Transformations

Updated: 56 minutes ago

Remodeling even one bathroom can feel disruptive—taking two offline at the same time requires thoughtful planning, reliable scheduling, and a trusted team to ensure the process runs smoothly.

Recently, we had the opportunity to remodel two bathrooms for the same homeowner—a primary bathroom and a hall bathroom. Taking on two spaces that the family relies on every day adds an extra layer of challenge, but with careful scheduling, product management, and design planning, we were able to deliver two beautifully finished bathrooms without unnecessary delays or disruptions.

How Long Does a Bathroom Remodel Take?

One of the most common questions homeowners ask is: How long does a bathroom remodel take? On average, a full bathroom renovation typically takes 4–6 weeks, depending on the size of the space, the materials selected, and the scope of work.

The Timeline

For this project, the bathrooms were completed partially in sequence to ensure the family always had one functioning bath available:

  • Hall Bathroom: May 5 – July 3

  • Primary Bathroom: June 18 – July 26

By overlapping the schedules slightly, we kept progress steady and avoided the stress of having both bathrooms offline at once. This approach demonstrates the importance of working with a licensed remodeler who can balance efficiency with homeowner comfort.

The Primary Bathroom

The goal for the primary bath was to create a polished, spa-like retreat. We installed Schluter radiant floor heating for added comfort, and paired it with Medallion Cabinetry and Cambria Inverness Everleigh Quartz, a luxury surface defined by movement-rich veins in cool gray and warm honey tones.

  • Top Knobs Burnham pulls and knobs in honey bronze

  • Elegant lighting from the Kohler Purist one-light sconce and Robern PL Portray medicine cabinet

Together, these elements created a layered, warm, and contemporary design.
